How K-BOB'S Started
The first K-BOB'S restaurant opened in 1966. It was started by Gabe E. Parson. The very first location was in Clovis, New Mexico.
In 1989, the company faced some financial challenges. It needed to reorganize its business. By 1991, the company had new owners. Edward Tinsley III took over the management.
K-BOB'S Today
Edward Tinsley III moved the company's main office. First, it went from Dallas to Albuquerque. Later, it moved to Santa Fe.
In August 2015, Edward Tinsley III sold the company. His son, Edward R. Tinsley IV, and his son-in-law, Morgan Booth, bought it. They used a special investment fund for this. Edward Tinsley III still owned four K-BOB'S restaurants in New Mexico. He operated them as a franchisee.
Today, Edward Tinsley IV and Morgan Booth run the company. Their main office is now in Houston, Texas. K-BOB'S continues to serve its popular meals to customers.
