K-BOB'S has been around for a long time. It started in 1966 in New Mexico. The founder, Gabe E. Parson, wanted to create a great place for people to eat.
Changes in Ownership
In 1989, the company faced some tough times. It needed to reorganize its business. This process is called "Chapter 11 bankruptcy." It helps a company get back on track.
By 1991, K-BOB'S had new owners. Edward Tinsley III took over the company. He moved the main office to Albuquerque. Later, it moved again to Santa Fe.
In 2015, Edward Tinsley III sold the company. His son, Edward R. Tinsley IV, and his son-in-law, Morgan Booth, bought it. They now run K-BOB'S from their main office in Houston. Edward Tinsley III still owns four K-BOB'S restaurants as a franchisee.
