KEDGE Business School is a top French business school. It's known for its high quality, having "triple accreditation." This means it meets strict international standards from three important groups: AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA.

KEDGE was created in 2013. It was formed when two older business schools joined together. These were Bordeaux Ecole de Management (BEM), started in 1874, and EUROMED Management in Marseille, started in 1872. KEDGE has many campuses. You can find them in France (Marseille, Bordeaux, Toulon, Paris). There are also campuses in Senegal (Dakar), Côte d'Ivoire (Abidjan), and China (Shanghai, Suzhou).

KEDGE Business School was officially formed in 2013. But its story goes back much further. It was created by combining two very old business schools. These schools were BEM (Bordeaux Management School) and EUROMED Management in Marseille.

What is a Grande École?

KEDGE Business School is a "grande école." This is a special type of higher education school in France. These schools are separate from the main public university system. However, they often work closely with it.

Grandes écoles are very selective. Students must pass tough exams to get in. Many graduates from these schools go on to hold important positions in French society. Think of them like very famous and respected universities in other countries. For example, they are similar to Ivy League schools in the United States. Getting a degree from a grande école is often seen as a must-have for top jobs in France.

The degrees from these schools are approved by the Conférence des Grandes Écoles. They are also awarded by the French Ministry of National Education. Higher education degrees in France have three main levels. These levels make it easier for students to study in different countries. The levels are:

  • The Licence (like a Bachelor's degree)
  • The Master's degree
  • The Doctorat (like a Ph.D.)

These study levels are organized into semesters. A Bachelor's degree usually takes 6 semesters. A Master's degree takes 4 additional semesters. Students earn credits for each course they complete. These credits can often be transferred between different study paths. To get a Bachelor's degree, you need 180 credits. For a Master's degree, you need 120 more credits. The popular PGE (Grand Ecole Program) leads to a Master's in Management degree.

Global Partnerships

KEDGE works with 300 universities around the world. Many of these partnerships allow students to earn two degrees at once. This is called a "dual-degree."
