Kalib Starnes (born January 6, 1975) is a Canadian mixed martial artist. He is known for his skills in various martial arts styles.

Early Life and Training
Kalib Starnes started learning martial arts when he was very young. He even began teaching others when he was still a teenager. In 1994, he started training in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu at the Gracie Academy in Torrance, California.
Starnes has also practiced many other martial arts. These include Muay Thai, Boxing, Judo, Aikido, Kung Fu, Taekwondo, Greco Roman Wrestling, and different types of Karate like Shotokan and Wado-ryu.
Mixed Martial Arts Career
Kalib Starnes has had an exciting career in mixed martial arts (MMA). He has competed in many different organizations.
Fighting in the UFC
Starnes made his first appearance in the UFC on June 24, 2006. This was at the final event of The Ultimate Fighter 3. He won his debut fight against Danny Abbadi using a move called a rear-naked choke.
One of his biggest wins came on May 26, 2007, at UFC 71. He defeated Chris Leben by a unanimous decision. This means all the judges agreed he won. For this exciting fight, Starnes also earned a special Fight of the Night bonus award.
During the UFC 64 event, Starnes faced Yushin Okami. He lost this fight in the third round by TKO (Technical Knockout).
In his last UFC fight, he competed against Nate Quarry at UFC 83 in Montreal, Canada. Starnes lost this fight by a unanimous decision.
