Kamal Anthony Miller (born May 16, 1997) is a Canadian professional soccer player. He plays as a centre-back, which is a defensive position, for the Major League Soccer club Portland Timbers. He also plays for the Canada national team.

Early Life and Soccer Beginnings
Kamal Miller was born in Scarborough, a part of Toronto, Canada. His family has roots in Jamaica and Trinidad. He started playing soccer when he was just four years old with a team called Malvern SC. Later, he played for North Scarborough SC and Vaughan Azzurri.
College Soccer Journey
Miller played college soccer for four years at Syracuse University from 2015 to 2018. He scored his very first goal for his college team on September 22, 2015. In 2018, he was recognized for his strong play. He was named to the All-ACC third team and the United Soccer Coaches All-South Region third team.
Professional Club Career
Starting Out in Soccer
While he was still in college, Miller also played for other soccer clubs. He played for League1 Ontario club Vaughan Azzurri. He also played for USL PDL teams like K-W United FC and Reading United AC. These experiences helped him get ready for professional soccer.
Playing for Orlando City
On January 11, 2019, Orlando City chose Miller in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft. This is like a draft where professional teams pick new players. He officially joined the club on March 1, 2019. The very next day, he played his first professional game. It was a 2–2 draw against New York City FC. After his first season, Orlando City decided to keep him for the 2020 season.
Moving to CF Montréal
Miller was then chosen by Austin FC in the 2020 MLS Expansion Draft. But he was immediately traded to the Montreal Impact. Montreal gave Austin FC money and a draft pick in return. He played his first game for Montreal on April 17 against Toronto FC. He started strong with Montreal, and the club gave him a contract extension until 2023. Miller scored his first goal for Montreal on November 3, helping them win 2–0 against the Houston Dynamo. Because he played so well in the 2022 MLS season, Miller was chosen to play in the 2022 MLS All-Star Game in July 2022.
Joining Inter Miami CF
On April 12, 2023, Miller was traded from CF Montréal to Inter Miami CF. Inter Miami also sent money and two other players to Montreal. He made his debut for Miami on April 22 against the Houston Dynamo. In October 2023, Inter Miami signed Miller to a longer contract. This deal keeps him with the team until at least 2026.
Playing for Portland Timbers
Before the 2024 season started, Miller was traded again. He moved to the Portland Timbers. In exchange, Inter Miami received money and an international roster spot.
International Career for Canada
Youth National Team
Kamal Miller played for Canada's U20 team. He competed in the 2017 CONCACAF U20 Championship. He was also named to the list of players for the Canadian U-23 team in February 2020. This team was preparing for the 2020 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship.
Senior National Team
On March 18, 2019, Miller was called up to the senior Canada team for the first time. This was for a game against French Guiana. In June 2019, he was chosen for Canada's 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup team. He made his first senior international appearance on June 23. He came into the game as a substitute in Canada's 7–0 win over Cuba. In July 2021, Miller was again called up to represent Canada at the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
In November 2022, Miller was part of Canada's team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He played every minute of their games in Qatar. Canada was eliminated in the group stage of the tournament. In June 2023, Miller was named to Canada's team for the 2023 CONCACAF Nations League Finals. He was also called up for the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup squad. In June 2024, Miller was selected for Canada's roster for the 2024 Copa América.
