Kamal Anthony Miller (born May 16, 1997) is a Canadian professional soccer player. He plays the centre-back position for the Portland Timbers, a club in Major League Soccer (MLS). He also plays for the Canada national team.

Early Life and College
Miller was born in Scarborough, a part of Toronto, Canada. His family has roots in Jamaica and Trinidad. He started playing soccer when he was only four years old with a local team called Malvern SC.
From 2015 to 2018, Miller played college soccer for Syracuse University. Playing for the Syracuse Orange team, he showed his skills as a defender. In 2018, he was recognized as one of the best players in his college conference.
Club Career
A player's club career is their journey playing for different professional teams. Miller has played for several clubs in Major League Soccer.
Orlando City
In 2019, Miller was chosen by Orlando City in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft. This is an event where teams select talented college players. He signed his first professional contract and played his first game on March 2, 2019. He played for Orlando for two seasons.
CF Montréal
In 2020, Miller was selected by a new team, Austin FC, in a special draft. However, he was immediately traded to the Montreal Impact (now known as CF Montréal). A trade is when teams exchange players or other assets.
He played very well for Montreal. On November 3, 2021, he scored his first goal for the team. Because of his great performance during the 2022 season, he was chosen to play in the 2022 MLS All-Star Game. This is an honor where the best players in the league play a special exhibition game.
Inter Miami CF
On April 12, 2023, Miller was traded to Inter Miami CF. He joined a team that included famous players like Lionel Messi. He made his first appearance for Miami on April 22. The team valued him so much that they gave him a contract to stay with the club until the 2026 season.
Portland Timbers
Before the 2024 season began, Miller was traded again, this time to the Portland Timbers. He continues to play as a key defender for the team.

Miller first played for Canada's under-20 youth team in 2017. This helped him gain experience playing against top young players from other nations.
Senior Team
In 2019, Miller was called up to play for Canada's main national team for the first time. He made his official debut on June 23, 2019, in a big win against Cuba.
He has since become an important player for Canada. He helped the team in major tournaments like the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
