Katsushika (葛飾区, Katsushika-ku) is one of the 23 special wards that make up Tokyo, Japan. A special ward is like a city within the larger Tokyo area. The local government even calls itself "Katsushika City" in English. It is a busy and interesting part of eastern Tokyo.
Where is Katsushika?
Katsushika is located in the eastern part of Tokyo, Japan. It shares borders with several other special wards of Tokyo. To the south, you'll find Edogawa. On its western side, Katsushika borders Sumida and Arakawa. To the northeast, it touches Adachi.
Beyond Tokyo, Katsushika also borders cities from other prefectures. These include Matsudo in Chiba Prefecture, and Misato and Yashio in Saitama Prefecture. This location makes Katsushika an important gateway between Tokyo and its neighboring regions.
