Kimberly's Early Life and Education
Kimberly Hart-Simpson was born in Rhyl, Wales. Her father was a drummer from Oldham, England. Her mother is Welsh. Kimberly went to Rhyl High School when she was growing up.
When she was 16, Kimberly and her family moved to Oldham. There, she attended Oldham College. From 2006 to 2009, she studied acting at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. Before becoming a professional actress, Kimberly worked in different jobs. She was a manager at a McDonald's restaurant and worked at a gym. She also worked as a seamstress for stage decorations.
A Big Road Trip and New Outlook
Kimberly also worked at an architectural company in Hyde. While working there, she took a long road trip. She drove alone from Stockport to Ibiza using the company's van. The van broke down, and she ended up staying abroad for a season. She also visited Dubai during this time.
Kimberly said that this road trip changed how she saw life. Being away from acting for a year helped her feel happier in her personal life. She felt this helped her acting career too. She explained that when you audition, people want to see your personality. They want to know the person they will work with.
Kimberly's Fashion Business
In 2018, Kimberly Hart-Simpson started her own fashion company. She named it Hart-Work. She is a talented businesswoman as well as an actress.
In 2020, Kimberly was interviewed on the TV show Lorraine. She talked about designing a special rainbow-themed dress. She made this dress for actress Jessica Ellis for the British Soap Awards. Kimberly said that they were showing support for the LGBTQ community. She felt it was very important to do this.

In 2017, she appeared in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks. She played a firefighter named Davina. She returned to Hollyoaks in 2020 as a landlord named Beverly.
Joining Coronation Street
Later in 2020, Kimberly was chosen for a role in Coronation Street. This is a popular TV show on ITV. She was cast as Nicky Wheatley. Before getting this role, Kimberly had tried out for other parts in Coronation Street. She auditioned for roles like Maddie Heath and Lolly. She also tried out for several smaller roles, but she didn't get them.
Kimberly then decided to tell her agent not to send her for small roles on Coronation Street. She said she would do small parts on other shows. But for Coronation Street, she wanted a "substantial" role. She was very happy to be cast in the show. She shared that her father's last words to her were, "Just do me a favour and get in Corrie love."
Recent TV Appearances
In 2021, Kimberly appeared in the reality series Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion on E4. Later that year, she announced that she would be returning to Coronation Street in 2022. She has continued to appear in the show in 2024.
