The Kingston Peninsula is connected to other places by ferries. Three different ferries help people travel. They connect the peninsula to Grand Bay-Westfield, Saint John, and Quispamsis. The ferry to Quispamsis was special. It was the site of the world's first cable ferry, which is a unique type of ferry.

The main road that goes around the edge of the peninsula is Route 845. This road helps people get to different communities. There is also another ferry that runs part of the year. From May to November, a provincial ferry goes from Summerville to Kennebecasis Island. This island is a small community that is popular in the summer.
