Kiril Petrov Domuschiev (Bulgarian: Кирил Петров Домусчиев; born on April 18, 1969) is a Bulgarian businessman and owner of the football team PFC Ludogorets Razgrad. He is known for his work in many different industries.

He was made an honorary citizen of Razgrad in 2012. In 2019, he also became an honorary citizen of Nebraska, USA.

Kiril Domuschiev's Early Life and Education

Kiril Petrov Domuschiev was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, on April 18, 1969. He is married and has three children. He went to the 9th French Secondary Language School Alphonse de Lamartine, where he studied Spanish. Later, he earned a master's degree in Industrial Management and Marketing from the Technical University, Sofia.

After 1990, Kiril Domuschiev and his brother, Georgi Domuschiev, started several companies. These companies made and sold things like clothes and shoes.

Starting New Businesses

In 1996, Kiril Domuschiev created a company called Napredak Holding AD. Through this company, he bought parts of many other businesses in Bulgaria. These businesses were in different industries. One of them was Balkan AD, which made bicycles and forklift trucks. His mother, Margarita Domuschieva, was the director there for many years.

In 1999, Kiril Domuschiev started his own business in the medicine field. He created Huvepharma EOOD. In 2000, this company bought Biovet AD, which owned a factory in Peshtera, Bulgaria, that made products for animals.

Huvepharma's Growth

Over the years, Huvepharma EOOD grew into a global pharmaceutical company. It focuses on making and selling products for both people and animals. The company now has factories in Bulgaria, the United States, France, and Italy. Huvepharma sells its products all over the world and is one of the top 10 global companies in animal medicine.

Advance Properties and Shipping

In 2003, Kiril and Georgi Domuschiev started Advance Properties OOD. They each owned half of this company. Advance Properties is a holding company. This means it's a company that owns other companies. The Domuschiev brothers use it for most of their investments.

The main companies under Advance Properties OOD work in areas like medicines, shipping, port operations, construction, real estate, and media.

Owning a Shipping Company and Port

In 2008, Advance Properties OOD bought 70% of Navigation Maritime Bulgare AD. This is a very old shipping company, more than 125 years old. Advance Properties OOD also fully owns BMF Port Burgas EAD. This company manages parts of the port in Burgas, Bulgaria. The port of Burgas is very important for Bulgaria and is one of the biggest ports in the Black Sea region.

Investing in Football: PFC Ludogorets Razgrad

In 2010, Kiril Domuschiev started investing in football. He began supporting PFC Ludogorets 1945 EAD in Razgrad, Bulgaria.

Ludogorets' Success Story

The team quickly became very successful. They moved up to the top football league in Bulgaria. They then won the Bulgarian football championship for nine years in a row: 2011/12, 2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18, 2018/19, and 2019/20.

Ludogorets also played in big European tournaments. They played in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League in the 2014/15 and 2016/17 seasons. They also played in the UEFA Europa League in the 2013/14, 2016/17, 2017/18, 2018/19, and 2019/20 seasons.

Charity Work and Awards

In 2011, Kiril Domuschiev and his wife, Kremena Domuschieva, started the Kremena and Kiril Domuschiev Foundation. This foundation does a lot of charity work. They help children's hospitals and special places for children who don't have parents.

Kiril Domuschiev holds important positions in his companies. He is the President of Huvepharma EOOD. He is also the Chairman of the board for Biovet AD and Navigation Maritime Bulgare AD.

In 2014, he was chosen to be the Chairman of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIBG). This is the biggest organization for employers in Bulgaria. He was re-elected for a second time in 2017.

Major Investments and Global Recognition

Kiril Domuschiev started building two new factories for Biovet in Razgrad and Peshtera. This project received a large loan of 100 million Euros from the European Investment Bank. This was a big investment under the Juncker Plan.

Business Awards and Media Ownership

In October 2018, his company Huvepharma received the Business of the Year Award. This was for its help in the economic growth of St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

In April 2019, Advance Properties bought Nova Broadcasting Group. This was the biggest media group in Bulgaria. It included 7 TV channels, like the main Bulgarian channel Nova Television, a radio station, newspapers, and a film company. Nova Broadcasting Group also had many digital media platforms. These included the largest Bulgarian online mail service Abv.bg, and popular news websites like Nova.bg and Vesti.bg.

In January 2021, Advance Media Group successfully sold Nova Broadcasting Group. During the time Kiril Domuschiev owned it, Nova Broadcasting Group grew to include 10 TV channels, 4 radio stations, and the biggest Bulgarian online platform, Netinfo.

International Presence

Kiril Domuschiev is the largest Bulgarian investor in the state of Nebraska and in the US. He has factories in 5 American states, including Missouri, North Carolina, Arkansas, and Colorado.

In November 2021, the American magazine Forbes wrote an article about Kiril and Georgi Domuschiev. It estimated their wealth to be $4.2 billion. Forbes said their money comes from their businesses in Bulgaria, the United States, Belgium, and other companies around the world.

In December 2022, Domuschiev and Huvepharma were featured in the Fortune Global 500 ranking. The article talked about the company's efforts to protect the environment, save energy, and use green technologies.

Kiril Domuschiev also became a member of the Clinton Global Initiative Advisory Board. He joined this board after being invited by President Clinton to a climate forum in late 2022.
