Throughout her career, Kristína has won one singles title on the WTA Challenger Tour. She also has eleven singles titles and five doubles titles from the ITF Women's Circuit. Junior Success

Kristína had a fantastic junior career. At the 2007 US Open, she was not expected to win, but she surprised everyone. She defeated strong players like the 13th seed Julia Glushko and the top seed Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. In the final, she beat the second seed Urszula Radwańska to win the girls' singles title.

She also did well in doubles during her junior years. At the 2007 Wimbledon Championships and 2007 French Open, she reached the girls' doubles quarterfinals. She played with her Slovakian teammates, Klaudia Boczová and Lenka Juríková.

Professional Career Highlights

Starting Out in 2014

In 2014, Kristína began her year by trying to qualify for big tournaments like the Australian Open and the French Open. She made it into the main draw at the Katowice tournament and won her first match there.

Later that year, she reached her first semifinal on the main WTA Tour at the Bucharest tournament. She won several matches before losing to Roberta Vinci. Kristína also won two smaller tournaments on the ITF Circuit in Poland and Belgium.

Breaking Through in 2016

The year 2016 was a big one for Kristína. She played very well at the Canadian Open. She won against tough opponents, including the No. 8 seed Carla Suárez Navarro. She then beat Canadian player Eugenie Bouchard and the 15th seed Johanna Konta. These wins helped her reach her first WTA Premier-level semifinal. She eventually lost to Madison Keys in the semifinals. After this amazing performance, Kristína entered the top 100 players in the world for the first time.

WTA 125 Title and First WTA Final (2019–2023)

Kristína continued to achieve new milestones. In 2020, she won her first WTA 125 title at the Sparta Prague Open. She defeated Elisabetta Cocciaretto in the final.

In 2021, she qualified for the main draw of the 2021 Miami Open. There, she played against the world No. 1 player, Ashleigh Barty, in a close match that went to three sets. In July 2021, Kristína reached her first final at a WTA 250 tournament, the Poland Open. She finished as the runner-up, losing to Maryna Zanevska.

At the 2021 US Open, Kristína qualified for the main draw and won her first match. She reached the second round before losing to Simona Halep. In 2023, she played at the Australian Open but lost in the first round.
