Urszula Radwańska (born December 7, 1990) is a professional tennis player from Poland. She is also known by her nickname, Ula. Urszula is the younger sister of famous tennis player Agnieszka Radwańska.

Urszula has won one doubles title on the WTA Tour, which is a major tennis circuit. She has also won seven singles titles and eleven doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit, another professional tennis tour. Her highest singles ranking was world No. 29, which she reached on October 8, 2012. In doubles, she reached No. 74 on September 21, 2009. As a junior player, Urszula was very successful, winning the 2007 Wimbledon girls' singles title and becoming the junior world No. 1.

Urszula's Tennis Journey

Urszula's journey in tennis began with great success as a junior player. She won several Grand Slam titles in the junior category, including the prestigious 2007 Wimbledon girls' singles championship. This amazing achievement helped her become the top-ranked junior player in the world at the end of that year. Her junior success helped her start her professional career, where she often entered big tournaments through qualifying rounds or special invitations.

Early Professional Years (2007-2008)

In 2007, Urszula played in the main tournaments of the WTA Tour. She reached the quarterfinals at the PTT Bangkok Open, showing her talent by beating a highly ranked player, Virginie Razzano. That same year, Urszula and her sister Agnieszka won a doubles title together at the 2007 İstanbul Cup.

In 2008, Urszula made her first appearance in a Grand Slam singles tournament at Wimbledon. She played a tough match against two-time champion Serena Williams but lost in the second round. A commentator noted that Urszula was "sound in just about all areas" and understood how to play the ball, comparing her to tennis legend Martina Hingis.

Breaking into the Top 100 (2009)

A big moment for Urszula came on February 16, 2009, when she played her sister Agnieszka for the first time in an official tournament at the Dubai Tennis Championships. Urszula won the match in straight sets.

At the Indian Wells Open, she achieved a major victory by defeating Svetlana Kuznetsova, who was a top-ranked player. This was the highest-ranked player Urszula had ever beaten. After this tournament, her singles ranking entered the top 100 for the first time, which was a significant milestone in her career.

First WTA Tour Semifinal (2010-2011)

In 2010, Urszula faced a challenge when she had to take a break from tennis for six months due to back surgery. She returned to play in August and got her first main-draw win of the year at the US Open.

In 2011, she reached her first ever WTA Tour semifinal at the Tashkent Open. This was a big step in her professional career, showing her ability to compete at a high level.

Reaching the Top 30 (2012)

The year 2012 was a strong one for Urszula. She won a $75,000 tournament in Nottingham, which helped her qualify for the London Olympics. She then reached her first career final at the Rosmalen Open, though she lost the final match.

She continued to play well, reaching the quarterfinals at two events in the US. By the end of 2012, Urszula had a good win-loss record and finished the season ranked much higher than before, breaking into the top 30 players in the world.

Fed Cup Success (2013)

In 2013, Urszula continued to show her skills. At the Qatar Ladies Open, she upset the 15th seed, Roberta Vinci. A highlight of her year was at the French Open, where she surprised everyone by defeating the famous Venus Williams, a seven-time Grand Slam champion, in the first round.

Urszula also had success in the Fed Cup, representing Poland. She won important matches, helping her country in the team competition.

Injuries and Comebacks (2014-2017)

In 2014, Urszula faced another setback when she had to withdraw from the Australian Open because of a shoulder injury. This injury caused her ranking to drop.

She worked hard to get back to her best form. In 2015, with a new coach, she reached her first WTA semifinal in almost three years at the İstanbul Cup, and then made it to the final. Although she lost the final, it showed her strong comeback.

In 2016, an ankle injury forced her to retire from a match, leading to another drop in her ranking. By the end of 2017, her ranking had fallen further. Despite these challenges, Urszula continued to compete.

Beyond the Court: Business Career

Besides her tennis career, Urszula Radwańska is also a businesswoman. She created her own brand called UR, which sells luxury handbags. This shows her talent and interests beyond sports.
