Agnieszka Roma Radwańska (born on March 6, 1989) is a Polish former professional tennis player. She is now a coach. In July 2012, she was ranked world No. 2 in women's singles by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). Radwańska won 20 singles titles on the WTA Tour, including the 2015 WTA Finals. She also won two doubles titles. She was the runner-up at the 2012 Wimbledon Championships.
Radwańska was the first Polish player in the Open Era to reach a major singles final. This happened at the 2012 Wimbledon Championships. She was also the first Pole to win the WTA Finals. She was part of the first Polish team to win the Hopman Cup in 2015. She was named the Newcomer of the Year in 2006. She finished eight seasons ranked in the top 10.
Fans voted Radwańska the WTA's Fan Favorite Singles Player for six years in a row (2011–2016). This is more than any other player. She also won the Fan Favorite Shot of the Year five times in a row (2013–2017). In 2013, she received the Gold Cross of Merit from Polish President Bronisław Komorowski. This was for her achievements in sport and for representing her country. Radwańska stopped playing professional tennis in November 2018, when she was 29. In December 2024, she started coaching Magda Linette.

About Agnieszka Radwańska
Early Life and Family
Agnieszka was born in Kraków, Poland. Her parents are Robert Radwański and Marta. She started playing tennis at age four. Her father introduced her to the sport. Her younger sister, Urszula, is also a tennis player. Radwańska looked up to tennis stars Pete Sampras and Martina Hingis.
In 2009, Radwańska became an ambassador for Habitat for Humanity. This group helps build homes for people in need. She also studied tourism at universities in Kraków.
Personal Beliefs and Public Life
Radwańska is a practicing Roman Catholic. She took part in a Catholic campaign in Poland called "I'm not ashamed of Jesus!". She made a video for the campaign. In it, she told fans to "not be ashamed of believing." She even arranged tennis balls to spell "JEZUS." In 2013, she appeared in ESPN magazine's The Body Issue. After this, she was no longer part of the campaign.
In 2012, Forbes magazine said she was the ninth-highest-earning female athlete in the world.
Marriage and Motherhood
In 2016, Radwańska got engaged to Dawid Celt. He is a former Polish tennis player. He was also her hitting partner and is now a coach. They got married on July 22, 2017. Many family members and fellow tennis players attended. The wedding was in Kraków, Poland.
In March 2019, Radwańska joined the Polish version of Dancing with the Stars. She danced with Stefano Terrazzino. She gave her prize money from the show to UNICEF charity.
In January 2020, Radwańska announced she was expecting her first child. She had a son shortly after her third wedding anniversary.

Starting Out: Junior Years (2005–2006)
Radwańska won the junior singles title at Wimbledon in 2005. She beat Tamira Paszek in the final. In 2006, she won the French Open junior title. She defeated Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
She played her first WTA tournament in 2006. It was the J&S Cup in Warsaw. She beat Anastasia Myskina in her first match. She reached the quarterfinals before losing. At the 2006 Wimbledon Championships, she reached the fourth round. She also beat former world No. 1, Venus Williams, at a tournament in Luxembourg.

First WTA Titles and Rising Star (2007–2008)
In 2007, Radwańska beat her idol, Martina Hingis, at the Sony Ericsson Open. In August 2007, she made history. She became the first Polish player to win a WTA singles title. This happened at the Nordic Light Open. She also beat defending champion Maria Sharapova at the US Open.
In 2008, she reached the quarterfinals of the 2008 Australian Open. She upset world No. 2 Svetlana Kuznetsova. She won her second WTA singles title at the Thailand Open. She also won the Eastbourne International on grass. At Wimbledon, she reached the quarterfinals. By the end of 2008, Radwańska was the first Polish woman to earn over $1 million in prize money. She was also the first to be ranked world No. 10.
Breaking into the Top 10 (2009–2010)
In 2009, Radwańska reached her first semifinal of the year in Tokyo. She also reached her first final of the year in China. In 2010, she and her doubles partner reached the semifinals of the Australian Open. She continued to perform well in big tournaments. Winning Big in Asia (2011)
Radwańska reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. She won the Miami doubles title with Daniela Hantuchová. She won her first singles title since 2008 at the San Jose Open. She then won two major titles in Asia: the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo and the China Open in Beijing.

Reaching World No. 2 and Wimbledon Final (2012)
In the first four months of 2012, Radwańska won two singles titles. She won the Dubai Championships and the Miami Open. She became world No. 4. She won the Miami championship without losing a single set.
She reached her first Grand Slam final at Wimbledon. She lost to Serena Williams in a close three-set match. By reaching the final, she became the first Polish player in the Open Era to reach a Grand Slam singles final. She also reached a new ranking of world No. 2. She won her first ever Connecticut Open title. This was her 19th career title. She then won her second China Open title. This was her 20th career title. She became only the fourth player to win three or more Premier Mandatory trophies. She qualified for the 2016 WTA Finals for the sixth year in a row. She reached her fourth WTA Championships semifinal. For the first time, Radwańska ended the season ranked world No. 3.

Foot Injury and Ranking Drop (2017)
In 2017, Radwańska changed her racquet brand to Srixon. She reached the final at Sydney International. She lost in the second round of the Australian Open. She had to withdraw from tournaments in Madrid and Rome due to a foot injury. She reached the fourth round of Wimbledon.
She reached her second semifinal of the season at the Connecticut Open. This result caused her to fall out of the top 10 for the first time since 2015. Charitable Work
Since 2009, Radwańska and her sister Urszula have supported Szlachetna Paczka ("Noble Box"). This charity helps families in need during the holidays. Donors fill shopping carts with food and clothes for these families.
She and Urszula also support Habitat for Humanity. This group helps build homes for less fortunate families. Radwańska said it was an honor to be involved with such a great cause.
On July 23, 2022, Radwańska played in a charity tennis event in Kraków, Poland. Iga Świątek organized it to raise money for children and teenagers affected by the conflict in Ukraine. The event raised over €500,000 for charities like UNICEF Poland.
