Kushal Punjabi (born 23 April 1977 – died 26 December 2019) was a talented Indian actor. He worked in both movies and television shows. Many people remember him for winning the TV game show Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout in 2011. This show was the Indian version of the popular US game show Wipeout. He won a big prize of 50 lakh Indian Rupees.

Kushal Punjabi appeared in several well-known films. These include Farhan Akhtar's Lakshya and Karan Johar's Kaal. He also acted in Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal and Sssshhh.... On television, he was seen in many series. One of his last roles was as an advocate in Ishq Mei Marjawan on Colors TV. He also took part in many reality shows. Some of these were Fear Factor, Mr. & Miss TV, and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

Beyond acting, Kushal was a professional dancer. He specialized in modern jazz and hip hop dance. He even choreographed, or created dance routines, for big events. These included the Gladrags Manhunt Megamodel and Mrs. India contests. He also directed fashion shows and music videos. He used his skills to help others too. He choreographed a 'Star Walk' Fashion event for UMEED, an organization that helps children.

Kushal Punjabi was born on 23 April 1977. He came from a Sindhi family. His father was from Karachi, and his mother was from Hyderabad. Kushal grew up in Mumbai, India.

As a child, Kushal was very active. He started cycling, skating, swimming, and dancing at a young age. He loved sports and played football. He also swam for his school and college teams. Kushal enjoyed traveling and being outdoors. His adventurous spirit led him to try many adventure sports.

His love for dance, theatre, and music helped him become a serious actor. He worked hard and appeared in over 20 TV shows. He also acted in 5 films and many music videos. Additionally, he featured in various commercials.

Acting Career Highlights

Kushal Punjabi began his career as a dancer and model. In 2000, he took part in the Gladrags Manhunt Contest. He also appeared in a music video for Shweta Shetty's pop song "Deewane To Deewane Hai" in 1997.

Television Roles

His television journey started in 1995 with A Mouthful Of Sky on DD Metro. He then appeared in Love Marriage in 2002. He played roles in popular shows like Don (2006) and Santaan (2007–2008). He was also in Kasamh se (2006) and Sssshh...Phir Koi Hain.

From 2003 to 2004, he played a Sub-inspector in the crime series CID. In 2004, he had a main role in Dekho Magar Pyaar Se. This show was an Indian version of a Venezuelan TV series. He also appeared in the comedy show Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. Other TV shows he was part of include Antariksh (2008) and Rishta dot com (2010). He also had a cameo in Gutur Gu, India's first silent comedy series.

Later Life

Kushal Punjabi passed away on 26 December 2019, at his home in Bandra, Mumbai. He was 42 years old. He had been dealing with depression before his passing.
