Kyren Wilson's Snooker Journey
Starting Out (2009–2013)
Kyren Wilson started his snooker career by doing well in amateur events. In the 2009–10 season, he won one event and came second in another. This helped him earn a spot on the professional World Snooker Tour for the 2010–11 snooker season.
During his first professional season, he reached the third round of the UK Championship and the World Championship qualifiers. However, he finished the year ranked 72nd and lost his professional status. He tried to get back on tour through special qualifying events but didn't succeed right away.
For the next two seasons, Kyren played in amateur tournaments. He showed his skill by beating some top players in the PTC Event 4. He then became a professional player again for the 2013–14 season.
Becoming a Pro (2013–2015)
When Kyren returned to professional snooker in the 2013–14 season, he quickly made an impact. He reached the main stage of a ranking event for the first time at the Shanghai Masters. There, he surprised many by beating higher-ranked players like Stuart Bingham and Marco Fu. He made it all the way to the quarter-finals.
