After American Idol

Starting Her Music Career

Right after American Idol ended, La'Porsha Renae announced she had signed with two record labels: Big Machine and Motown Records. Scott Borchetta, the CEO of Big Machine, said they signed her because fans loved her so much during the final season of American Idol.

La'Porsha's first song, "Battles", was very popular. It reached number 22 on the US R&B singles chart. Her first live performance after Idol was on the TV show Live with Kelly and Michael, where she promoted "Battles".

In August 2016, a new version of "Battles" was released, called the "Gold Medal Mix." This version became the official song for the United States Women's Gymnastic Team for the 2016 Summer Olympics! In November, she released another song called "Good Woman," which was the first single from her upcoming album.

Her Albums and New Name

Her first studio album, Already All Ready, came out on March 31, 2017. "Good Woman" was the main song from this album.

In 2019, La'Porsha Renae released a song called "Solo." After this, she took a break from music. Later, she changed her social media name to "ASEEternal" and started using a new stage name, "A.S.E." In May 2020, she shared plans to write a seven-book series called "Battles." The first book, Meet Me on the Battlefield, was published in June 2020.

In May 2022, she released a four-part album series called The Odessy of Love. She released these albums on her own through Man of Yah Productions. A music video for the song "Black Swan" was also released on YouTube. For reasons not known, these albums were later removed from streaming services.
