To its west, you'll find the city of Auburn. To the north is another CDP called Lake Morton-Berrydale. The southern edge of Lake Holm follows the Green River. The northern edge follows Big Soos Creek and Covington Creek. These are smaller streams that flow into the Green River.
Lake Holm is about 19 miles (31 km) east of Tacoma. It is also about 27 miles (43 km) south-southeast of Seattle.
