Growth and Challenges
During the 2010s, many younger families moved to Lake Wylie. They were attracted by lower taxes and good local schools. This rapid growth caused some challenges for the community. Because of these issues, York County decided to put a temporary stop on new construction. This allows time to plan how the area can grow better in the future.
