Langford is a suburb found in Perth, Western Australia. It is part of the City of Gosnells. The postcode for Langford is 6147.
Langford got its name from William Henry Langford. He was a local councillor and chairman of the Gosnells Road Board for a long time. A "Road Board" was like a local council that managed roads and other services. The Gosnells Road Board suggested the name in September 1966. They worked with the State Housing Commission to choose it. The name was officially approved in January 1967.
Langford is a residential area where many families live. It is about 11 kilometers from the center of Perth. The suburb was first built with public housing, which means homes provided by the government. Over time, many of these homes have been updated or sold to private owners.
