Beckenham is a suburb located in Perth, Western Australia. It is part of the City of Gosnells. This area is about 13 kilometers (8 miles) away from the main city center of Perth.

Beckenham's History

This suburb has had a few different names over the years. It was once known as Buckingham. For a while, it also shared the name "Waverley" with a nearby suburb, East Cannington. Beckenham is home to one of Western Australia's oldest and most respected primary schools. The Canning River flows along the southwestern edge of Beckenham. In 2011, many new areas of land were developed in Beckenham.
