Her Early Life and Education
Laura Bozzo was born in Callao, Peru. Her parents were Miguel Bozzo Chirichignio and Victoria Luisa Rotondo Mendoza. Her family has roots from Italy, Spain, and the Quechua people. She also has Italian citizenship.
She studied law at different universities in Peru and Venezuela. These included the Female University of the Sacred Heart, Federico Villarreal National University, and Central University of Venezuela. She earned degrees in law and political science. She also taught classes in these subjects at various universities.
In 1987, she worked for the National Institute of Culture. She helped organize events to protect Peru's cultural history. In 1992, she became an alderman for Lima, the capital city of Peru.
Starting Her TV Career
Laura Bozzo started her television career in 1994. Her first show was called Las mujeres tienen la palabra (Women Have the Floor). It was a show that focused on women's issues and was on RBC Televisión.
In 1997, Laura Bozzo moved to Panamericana Televisión. There, she hosted a reality show called Intimidades. A year later, she joined América Televisión. She then launched Laura en América. This program became very popular in Peru and other countries in Latin America, including the United States.
In 1998, she started an organization called Solidaridad de Familia (Family Solidarity). This group aimed to help people in Peru and other Latin American countries. They offered help with legal, medical, and psychological problems. The organization faced some questions about how it was funded.
Popular Talk Shows and Impact
In February 1998, the American Spanish-language TV network Telemundo began showing Laura en América. Soon, the show was seen all over Latin America. The show often featured guests who were dealing with problems in their lives. Sometimes, the show would reveal information about someone's actions, which could lead to arguments between guests.
In 2006, Laura Bozzo's contract with Telemundo ended. She then moved her TV work to Televisa. Production of Laura en America stopped in July 2006. In October 2006, she appeared on a show in Spain. She spoke about a past legal issue involving a former president.
In January 2007, Laura Bozzo tried to start a new show in Spain. However, the idea for a new show was canceled after executives saw pilot episodes. On November 6, 2007, her new show Laura en acción started on Telemundo in the United States.
Later TV Work and Reality Shows
In June 2009, Laura Bozzo returned to television after her show Laura en Acción was canceled in April 2008. She moved to Mexico and began working on many shows for Televisa. This is one of the largest Spanish-speaking television networks in the world. Later, she moved to TV Azteca and hosted the talk show Laura de todos for about two and a half years. This show was on Azteca 13 in Mexico and also on Azteca America in the United States. Laura left the show after disagreements with TV Azteca leaders. She then returned to Televisa.
She signed a five-year contract with Televisa for a new show called Laura. This show premiered on January 24, 2011, in Mexico. It was very successful, getting high ratings. The show also started airing in the United States on Telefutura (now UniMás). After a brief cancellation, Laura returned to Telefutura and became very popular, airing for two hours a day.

About Her Personal Life
Laura Bozzo married a lawyer named Mario de la Fuente in 1980. They had two daughters together, named Alejandra and Victoria. They divorced in August 2000.
