Her Early Life and Education
Laura Bozzo was born in Callao, Peru. Her parents were Miguel Bozzo Chirichignio and Victoria Luisa Rotondo Mendoza. Her family has roots from Italy, Spain, and the Quechua people. She has citizenship in Peru, Italy, and Mexico.
She studied law at different universities. These included the Female University of the Sacred Heart and Federico Villarreal National University in Lima, Peru. She also studied at the Central University of Venezuela in Caracas, Venezuela. She earned degrees in law and political science. She even taught classes in these subjects at various universities.
In 1987, she worked for the National Institute of Culture. There, she helped organize events to protect Peru's cultural history. In 1992, she became an alderman for metropolitan Lima.
Starting Her TV Career
Laura Bozzo began her television career in 1994. Her first show was called Las mujeres tienen la palabra (Women Have the Word). It was a show that focused on women's issues and was shown on RBC Televisión.
In 1997, Laura Bozzo moved to Panamericana Televisión. She became the host of a reality show called Intimidades. A year later, she joined América Televisión. There, she launched her very popular show, Laura en América. This program became very well-known in Peru and other countries in the Americas, including the United States.
Helping Others with Family Solidarity
In 1998, Laura Bozzo started an organization called Solidaridad de Familia (Family Solidarity). This was a charitable foundation. Its goal was to help people in Peru and other Latin American countries. It offered help with legal, medical, and psychological problems.
Her Shows Reach More Viewers
In February 1998, the American Spanish-language TV network Telemundo started showing Laura en América. The show quickly became popular across Latin America. It often featured guests who were dealing with personal challenges. The show would sometimes reveal information that led to arguments between guests.
In 2006, Laura Bozzo's contract with Telemundo ended. She then moved her show production to Televisa. The show Laura en America stopped being produced in July 2006.
New Shows and Challenges
In January 2007, Laura Bozzo tried to start a show in Spain on Telecinco. However, the idea for a new show was canceled after executives saw pilot episodes. On November 6, 2007, her new show Laura en acción started on Telemundo in the United States.
In June 2009, Laura Bozzo returned to television. She moved to Mexico and began working on shows for Televisa. This is one of the largest Spanish-speaking TV networks. Later, she moved to TV Azteca. There, she hosted the talk show Laura de todos for about two and a half years. This show was broadcast in Mexico and the United States. Laura later left the show due to disagreements with TV Azteca executives.
Laura Bozzo then returned to Televisa. She signed a five-year contract to create a new show simply called Laura. The show premiered on January 24, 2011, in Mexico. It was very successful, getting high ratings. Laura also started airing in the United States on Telefutura (now UniMás). The show became very popular and aired for two hours a day.

Her Family Life
Laura Bozzo married lawyer Mario de la Fuente in 1980. They had two daughters named Alejandra and Victoria. They divorced in August 2000 after 20 years of marriage.
