The Story of the Triplets
The show is about three sisters who are identical triplets. Their names are María Guadalupe, María Paula, and María Fernanda. All three are played by the same actress, Lucero!
When they were very young, a car accident changed their lives forever. Their parents died in the accident. María Guadalupe was thought to have died too, because she fell into a river and disappeared.
But María Guadalupe was actually found by a woman named Ana Salas. Ana had just lost her own mother. María Guadalupe had lost her memory and didn't remember her family. Ana raised her as her own daughter, even after learning who she really was.
María Fernanda is a kind girl who never gave up hope of finding her lost sister. However, the accident left her blind. María Paula is very different from her sisters. She loves being glamorous and is quite selfish. She also feels very jealous of her sisters. María Paula hides a big secret about the accident.
Later, María Guadalupe and Ana move to Mexico City because Ana gets sick. There, María Guadalupe meets Nicolás, a friendly taxi driver. They fall in love. Nicolás had just moved to the city to live with his grandmother.
Ana is very worried that someone will recognize María Guadalupe. She tries to keep her hidden. But Nicolás's grandmother soon figures out Ana's secret. She doesn't say anything at first.
Meanwhile, the triplets' grandmother, Mercedes, and their uncle, Eduardo, have been looking for María Guadalupe for many years. The story slowly brings the three sisters closer. Their "ties of love" connect them in surprising ways, affecting everyone around them.
