Leedale is a very small community, known as a hamlet, located in the middle of Alberta, Canada. It is part of Ponoka County. A hamlet is like a tiny village, often with just a few homes and buildings.
Leedale is found about 6 kilometers (about 3.7 miles) south of Highway 53. It is also around 59 kilometers (about 36.6 miles) northwest of a larger city called Red Deer. You can find Leedale right next to the Medicine River.
Who Lives in Leedale?
In 1991, a count of people was done across Canada. This count, called a census, showed that only 11 people lived in Leedale at that time. This makes Leedale one of the smallest communities in Alberta.
