Leksand Municipality (Leksands kommun) is a local government area in Dalarna County in central Sweden. Its main town, called the seat, is Leksand.
The municipality was formed in 1974 when some smaller areas joined together.

Geography of Leksand
Leksand Municipality is located by the Österdal River. The main town, Leksand, sits on the southern shore of Lake Siljan.
This area is known for its rich culture, typical of the Dalarna region. In Leksand, you can find an old town section with well-preserved traditional cottages. These old buildings are a special landmark.

- Leksandsbröd: A famous company that makes traditional Swedish crispbread.

- Leksand, along with Mora, helped host the 2007 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
- The European Go Congress, a big event for the board game Go, was held in Leksand in 2008.
