Warren was born in Manhattan, New York City. Her mother, Carol, was a nightclub singer, and her father, William, was a real estate agent. She has a younger brother named Richard. Her family is Jewish, with ancestors from Russia.
Warren loved performing from a young age. She started attending the Professional Children's School when she was only six years old. By age 13, she was a student at The High School of Music & Art.
Career
Becoming a Star

Warren began training as a ballet dancer when she was six. In 1961, she was accepted into the famous School of American Ballet. At 17, she joined the Actors Studio, becoming one of the youngest students ever accepted.
Her career on Broadway started in 1963 with the musical 110 in the Shade. Her big break came in 1965 when she starred as Cinderella in a TV musical. This role made her a household name. After that, she appeared in two Disney movies, The Happiest Millionaire and The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band.
Television and Movie Roles
In the 1970s, Warren became a familiar face on television. She starred as Dana Lambert in the action series Mission: Impossible from 1970 to 1971. Warren married producer Jon Peters in 1967. They have one son, Christopher Peters. The couple divorced in 1975.
In 2000, Warren married Ron Taft, an advertising executive. They met at a hair salon in 1991 and have been together ever since.
