Liam Henry is a talented Australian rules footballer. He was born on August 28, 2001. Liam plays for the St Kilda Football Club in the top Australian league, the Australian Football League (AFL). Before joining St Kilda, he played for the Fremantle Football Club.

Liam Henry's Early Life and Background
Liam Henry was born in a town called Tammin. This town is about 180 kilometers east of Perth. As a child, Liam also lived in other places like Port Lincoln, South Australia and Fitzroy Crossing. Fitzroy Crossing is in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
School Days and Business Ideas
After moving around, Liam returned to Tammin for primary school. Later, he went to a boarding school called Christ Church Grammar School. While there, he started a cool business with two friends. They sold neckties that had special Indigenous patterns. One of his business partners, Isaiah Butters, also became an AFL player for Fremantle.
Family Heritage
Liam's family has a rich Indigenous heritage. His father is from the Wajuk people. They are from the South West part of Western Australia. His mother is from the Walmadjari people, who are from the Kimberley region.
Liam Henry's AFL Journey
Liam Henry's journey to the AFL began through Fremantle's Next Generation Academy. This program helps young Indigenous players develop their skills. He was picked as the 9th player in the 2019 national draft. Fremantle chose him after another club, Carlton, tried to pick him first.
Playing for Fremantle (2020–2023)
Liam joined the Fremantle Football Club in 2020. When the 2020 AFL season was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Liam went back home to Derby, Western Australia. He made his first AFL game in Round 13 of the 2020 season. This was during the special Sir Douglas Nicholls Indigenous Round against Sydney.
Liam started his career playing as a forward. But in 2022, he changed his position to a wingman. This means he plays on the side of the field, running up and down.
In Round 13 of the 2023 AFL season, Liam played a fantastic game. He had been in and out of the main team, but he really stepped up. He got 32 disposals, which means he touched the ball 32 times. This was his best game ever and helped Fremantle win by 32 points against Essendon. He kept up this great form in the next game against the Western Bulldogs, getting an even better 33 disposals!
Moving to St Kilda (2024–Present)
After the 2023 season, Liam decided he wanted to play for a different team. He asked for a trade, and on October 16, 2023, he officially joined the St Kilda Football Club. He has been playing for St Kilda since 2024.
