Interstate 20 runs along the southern edge of Liberty City. You can get there from Exits 582 and 583. Texas State Highway 135 also goes through the eastern side of the community.
- If you head north on Highway 135, you'll reach Gladewater in about 8 miles.
- If you go southeast, you'll get to Kilgore in about 6 miles.
Liberty City is about 15 miles southwest of Longview and 24 miles northeast of Tyler.
