You can find Lindford west of a town called Littlefork. It's right where two roads, County Road 1 and County Road 13, meet.
Lindford sits on the border between two large areas that also don't have their own local governments. These are the Rainy Lake Unorganized Territory and the Northwest Koochiching Unorganized Territory.

A Glimpse into Lindford's Past
Lindford had its own post office for many years. It first opened in 1905. The post office helped people send and receive mail until it closed in 1931. The community got its name from the very first postmaster, a person named A.L. Lindvall.
