Pelland is a small community in Koochiching County, Minnesota. It's not a city or town with its own local government. This community sits right next to the Rainy River.
You can find Pelland southwest of International Falls. It's where two main roads meet: U.S. Highway 71 and State Highway 11. Pelland is part of a larger area called the Rainy Lake Unorganized Territory. This means it's a rural area without a formal local government.
Nearby towns include International Falls, Littlefork, and Loman. Pelland is about 11 miles southwest of International Falls. It's also 8 miles north of Littlefork. People sometimes call Pelland "Pelland Junction" or "the Y." This is because of where the highways meet. The Rainy River, Big Fork River, and Little Fork River are all close by.
