Haryana is a state in the northern part of India. It has 22 districts and is one of the most populated states in the country. Haryana shares its borders with Punjab and Himachal Pradesh to the north. To its west and south is Rajasthan. The Yamuna River forms its eastern border with Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Haryana also surrounds Delhi on three sides (north, west, and south). Because of this, a big part of Haryana is in the National Capital Region (NCR), which is the area around Delhi.

The state of Haryana is divided into 22 different areas called districts. Each district has its own main city, which is like its headquarters. These districts help the government manage the state better. Some of the well-known districts include Ambala, Faridabad, Gurugram, and Hisar.
