List of presidents of Bangladesh facts for kids
This article is a list of the leaders who have served as the President of Bangladesh. The role of president is a very important one in Bangladesh. These leaders have been in charge since Bangladesh became independent in 1971.
Understanding the Numbering
After Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who was the first president, there isn't one simple way to number the presidents. Different groups might count them in different ways. For example, some lists might include acting presidents, while others only count those who served a full term. This means you might see the same president called the 15th, 16th, or even 20th president depending on where you look! Even official government groups sometimes have different numbers. This can make it a bit confusing, but it shows how different people keep track of history.
