King Edward VIII was the King of the United Kingdom and many other countries in the British Commonwealth. He was also the Emperor of India. He ruled for a short time, from January 20 to December 11, 1936, when he decided to step down from the throne.

During his time as King, Edward worked with eight different prime ministers. These leaders came from the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, the Irish Free State, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, South Africa, and Southern Rhodesia. Even though his reign was short, none of these prime ministers changed during his time as King.
