Battle Ground

Battle of Tippecanoe Monument

The Battle of Tippecanoe Monument stands tall in Battle Ground. It was created by John H. Mahoney in 1908. This huge monument is made of Granite and remembers the important Battle of Tippecanoe. You can find it at Tippecanoe Battlefield Park.

Cairo

Operation Skywatch Memorial

In Cairo, you can see the Operation Skywatch Memorial. This sculpture was made by Mary McDonald in 1976. It is crafted from Limestone.

Lafayette

Marquis de Lafayette Statue

At the Tippecanoe County Courthouse in Lafayette, there's a statue of the Marquis de Lafayette. He was a French hero who helped America during the Revolutionary War. This metal statue was made by Lorado Taft in 1887.

Art at the Former Merchants National Bank

Look closely at the building that used to be the Merchants National Bank at 316 Main Street. It has an interesting Entrance Relief created by H. H. Waterman between 1917 and 1918. These figures are made from Limestone or granite.

Ouabache Sculpture

The Ouabache is a large artwork by Richard McNeely from 1976. It is made of Aluminum and stands on the east side of the Wabash River, near the Union/Salem Streets bridge.

Tippecanoe County Courthouse Sculptures

The Tippecanoe County Courthouse itself is a work of art! It features nine sculptures by Elias Max from 1882. These sculptures are made of Zinc and paint. They include a figure of Justice and four sculptures representing the Four Seasons.

Farm Family Sculpture

The Farm Family Sculpture was created by Linda Vanderkolk and Roy Patrick in 1992. These three sculptures are made from found steel and are located at the southwest corner of 6th and Main streets.

Bear Cubs

At Purdue University in West Lafayette, specifically at the Child Development and Family Studies Building, you can find the charming Bear Cubs sculpture. It was made by Jon Magnus Jonson around 1934 from Limestone.

Life Sculpture

The sculpture called Life is located at the Stewart Center at Purdue University. It was created by G. J. Busche in 1956 and is made of Limestone.

Kaikoo VI

Kaikoo VI is a modern sculpture by Betty Gold from 1986. This large artwork is made of painted cold-rolled steel and can be found at Purdue University.

Purdue Memorial Union Relief Figures
