Fort Worth is a big city in Texas, and it's home to many tall buildings! It's the 5th largest city in Texas. Imagine looking up and seeing 50 buildings that are super tall, with 21 of them standing taller than a 20-story building!

The very tallest building in Fort Worth is called the Burnett Plaza. It has 40 floors and reaches a height of 567 feet (about 173 meters). It was finished in 1983. The second tallest is the Bank of America Tower, which is 547 feet tall (about 167 meters). Even with all these tall buildings, none of them are among the 30 tallest in the whole state of Texas.

Fort Worth started building skyscrapers a long time ago. The first tall one was the 7-story Flatiron Building, built in 1907. It was the tallest in North Texas back then! After that, taller buildings kept popping up. In the 1920s and 1930s, Fort Worth had a big building boom. The Farmers and Mechanics National Bank building became the tallest.

Then, in 1957, the 30-story Landmark Tower took the top spot. From the early 1970s to the mid-1980s, Fort Worth had its biggest building boom ever! That's when the Burnett Plaza was built in 1983, becoming the tallest building. It has stayed the tallest ever since!
