This article is about the tallest buildings in Texas. It lists the huge skyscrapers in the U.S. state of Texas by how tall they are. A skyscraper is a very tall building.
The tallest building in Texas is the JPMorgan Chase Tower. It is in Houston. This amazing building has 75 floors and stands 1,002 ft (305 m) tall! Imagine looking down from that height!
The second tallest building in Texas is the Wells Fargo Plaza, also in Houston. It reaches 992 feet (302 m) into the sky. As of 2011, Texas had more than 1,200 tall buildings.
Texas started building skyscrapers a long time ago. The first tall building was the 14-story Praetorian Building in Dallas. It was finished in 1909 and was about 190 feet (58 m) tall.
