Little Muncy Creek is an important stream in Pennsylvania. It flows through Lycoming and Sullivan Counties. This creek is the main stream that flows into Muncy Creek.

The water from Little Muncy Creek travels a long way! It joins Muncy Creek, then flows into the West Branch Susquehanna River. From there, it becomes part of the huge Susquehanna River system. All this water eventually reaches the Chesapeake Bay. This whole area, where water collects and flows into these rivers, is called a drainage basin.

Little Muncy Creek starts in Davidson Township, which is in Sullivan County. This starting point is called its "source."

Journey Through Townships

From its source, the creek flows south into Jordan Township in Lycoming County. Next, it turns west and enters Franklin Township. Here, it passes by the village of Lairdsville. The creek flows right next to Pennsylvania Route 118 in this area.

Continuing its journey west, Little Muncy Creek enters Moreland Township. It then goes past the village of Opp. Finally, the creek reaches Muncy Creek Township. Here, it flows into Muncy Creek, just west of the village of Clarkstown.

Other Streams Joining Little Muncy Creek

Several smaller streams also feed water into Little Muncy Creek. These include Marsh Run, Beaver Run, Laurel Run, Big Run, German Run, and Little Indian Run. They all help to make Little Muncy Creek bigger as it flows.
