Lost Secret of the Rainforest is an exciting educational adventure game. It was made by Sierra On-Line in 1993. You could play it on computers using MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows.
This game is the sequel to EcoQuest: The Search for Cetus. The main designer for this game was Gano Haine. Another designer, Jane Jensen, who worked on the first game, went on to create the Gabriel Knight series instead.
Gameplay
In Lost Secret of the Rainforest, you play as a character named Adam. He is a bit older now and can talk to animals easily. Adam goes on an adventure into a tropical rainforest.
His main goal is to find a cure for a sickness affecting the local Indigenous peoples of South America. He also needs to find a way to save the rainforest from being destroyed.
One cool tool Adam uses is called the "Ecorder." This device helps him learn about different things he finds. It's like a special scanner that gives him information during his journey.
Some players found this game a bit harder than the first EcoQuest. It also teaches important lessons about being kind. The game shows how being selfish or greedy can cause problems for everyone. It also highlights the dangers of human actions on nature.
