Luana is a small city located in Clayton County, Iowa, in the United States. In 2020, about 301 people lived there. This was an increase from 249 people in 2000.
Luana is known for having a large cheese factory. This factory belongs to Swiss Valley Farms. It is a company owned by 625 dairy farmers from four different states. The company bought the factory in 1967. It makes many different kinds of cheeses. The factory has grown bigger several times, with expansions happening in 2010 and 2015.
You can find Luana along U.S. Routes 18 and 52. These roads are in the northern part of Clayton County.

History of Luana
Luana was first mapped out in 1867 by a person named W. S. Scott. He decided to name the city after his wife, Luana.
