History of Lucan
Lucan was planned out and marked on a map in 1902. It got its name from a place called Lucan in Ireland. The city officially became a city in 1904. A post office has been open in Lucan since 1908.
Geography of Lucan
Lucan is a small city with a total area of about 0.38 square miles (1.02 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
The city is located along County Road 10. It is less than one mile (1.6 kilometers) north of Minnesota Highway 68. This highway runs from east to west.
