Luverne's Location and Area
Luverne is found in the southwestern part of Steele County. It is about one mile north of the county line that separates Steele and Barnes counties. The city is also about four miles east of the Steele County-Griggs County line.
Luverne is located several miles away from Lake Ashtabula. This lake is a man-made reservoir on the Sheyenne River. The closest town to Luverne is Sibley, which is about four miles away.
