Michael Connor Gainey, born on January 18, 1948, is an American actor. He is famous for playing interesting characters in many movies and TV shows. You might know him from Lost, Con Air, Sideways, Tangled, and Django Unchained.

About M. C. Gainey
Early Life and Education
Michael Connor Gainey was born in Jackson, Mississippi. In the early 1970s, he studied acting at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, California. Before that, he went to the University of Southern Mississippi. He even worked as an apprentice for a mortician before deciding to become an actor.
Gainey also served in the U.S. Army. In 1969, he was the company mailman at his post in Chakmakli, Turkey.
Acting Career Highlights
Gainey started his movie career in 1981. His first big-screen role was in the musical Pennies from Heaven. Since then, he has appeared in over 50 films. Some of his well-known movies include:

He often plays certain types of characters, like tough guys or villains. He once said that with his face, he usually gets roles as cowboys, bikers, or convicts. He mentioned that if he plays a police officer, it's often a "trigger-happy" or "crooked" one.
When asked about his favorite villain role, Gainey picked "Swamp Thing" from Con Air. He explained that even though the movie had many villains, his character wasn't truly a bad guy. He just liked to fly planes and got into trouble. He also mentioned that the character he played in Breakdown was a very bad person.
