Maidenwell is a rural town and locality in the South Burnett Region, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census the locality of Maidenwell had a population of 199 people.
History
Pioneer settler John King dug the first well in the district, hence the name Maidenwell. Maidenwell Post Office opened in 1906 (a receiving office named Pinpinbugie had been open from 1900) and closed in 1978.

Tourism
Coomba Falls is located about 2 kilometres east of the town. There is a deep cold pool at the base of the falls surrounded by granite cliffs. It is a popular tourist spot for picnicking, swimming, birdwatching and photography.
