Maile Flanagan is an American actress and comedian, born on May 19, 1965. She is famous for being the voice of Naruto Uzumaki in the English version of the popular Naruto animated series and movies.

She also voiced Piggley Winks in Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks, winning a Daytime Emmy Award for her work. Many kids also know her as Principal Terry Perry from the live-action Disney XD show Lab Rats. Maile has appeared in many movies like Evan Almighty and Transformers: Dark of the Moon. On TV, she has been a guest star in shows like The Office and Grey's Anatomy. More recently, she had a recurring role in the ABC sitcom Not Dead Yet and voices Matt Hornsby in the animated show Royal Crackers. She has also performed in many theater plays, often working with writer and director Justin Tanner.

Early Life and Education

Maile Flanagan was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Because her father worked for the U.S. military, her family moved around a lot. In 1969, they lived in Bangkok, Thailand. When she was ten, they moved to Germany.

She went to Munich America High School in Germany. Later, she graduated from Boston College in 1987. There, she studied political science, history, and math.

Maile's Acting Journey

After college, Maile worked in theater and performed stand-up comedy in Minneapolis. She was part of a comedy group called Every Mother's Nightmare. In 1996, she moved to Los Angeles with a play called The Bad Seed, which won an award for its comedy team.

Voice Acting Success

Maile's first big voice acting job was as Piggley Winks in Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks. She was nominated for an Annie Award for this role in 2005 and won an Daytime Emmy Award in 2006! Soon after, she got the role that made her super famous: the voice of Naruto Uzumaki in the English version of Naruto. She has voiced Naruto as a kid, a teenager, and an adult in all the Naruto shows, movies, and video games.

In 2009, she voiced the Mother Aardvark in Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. She also appeared in the movie 500 Days of Summer that year. In 2010, she voiced Orangu-Tammy in the animated movie Kung-Fu Magoo.

Live-Action Roles

From 2012 to 2016, Maile played Principal Terry Perry in the Disney XD show Lab Rats. She was a main character for four seasons! She even played Principal Perry again in the spin-off show Lab Rats: Elite Force in 2016. She also had a recurring role as Connie in the TV series Shameless.

In 2023, Maile appeared as Tina in the ABC sitcom Not Dead Yet. She also started voicing Matt Hornsby in the animated show Royal Crackers in the same year.
