Maity Interiano started her career in television while still in college. She gained valuable experience early on.
Early Steps in Television
In the summer of 2005, Maity had an internship. She worked on two different shows. One was an investigative show called Aquí y Ahora on Univision. The other was an entertainment show called Escandalo TV. This show was on the Telefutura Network, which is now known as Unimas.
Starting as a Producer and Reporter
After finishing college in 2006, Maity began working. She became an associate producer and reporter for Escandalo TV. She also produced a weekly segment called "Vamos al Cine." She continued this work until October 2011.
Maity has covered many big events since 2007. These include music awards like Premios Juventud, Premio lo Nuestro, and the Latin Grammy. She also covered the Nuestra Belleza Latina pageant.
Covering Major Events
In April 2011, Maity traveled to London. She covered the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. She reported on this special event for Escandalo TV and La Tijera. These shows were on the Telefutura Network.
In 2012, she covered the Golden Globe Awards for a show called Tómbola. She also reported on the Oscars for Despierta América. Maity also took part in charity events. In June 2013, Maity went to Brazil. She reported on entertainment news for Univision Deportes. This was during the world Confederations Cup.
Becoming a News Anchor
On January 17, 2022, Maity left Despierta América. She became a co-anchor for Noticiero Univision Fin de Semanas. She shared the desk with Felix De Bedout.
Then, on February 8, 2023, Maity was named the anchor of Noticiero Univision: Edición Nocturna. She started this new role on February 13. She first shared the desk with León Krauze. Later, she co-anchored with Elian Zidan.
On December 3, 2024, Maity left Univision. This was due to changes at TelevisaUnivision Inc. She had spent 17 years with the company. Maity shared how she started as an intern and built her entire career there.
Maity Interiano's Personal Life
Maity Interiano is married to Anuar Zidan. He is a news producer for Univision Noticias. He also owns a wine business called Zidan Wines. They got engaged on February 11, 2023.
Awards and Recognition
Maity Interiano has received awards for her work. On July 24, 2015, she won a Regional LA Area Emmy Award. She won this award for hosting the Desfile de Las Rosas 2015 on Univision.
