Malcolm Alexander Johnson (born August 27, 1977) is a former American football player. He played as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He was part of the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets teams. Malcolm was chosen by the Steelers in the 1999 NFL draft. Before that, he played college football at the University of Notre Dame. He also played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Ottawa Renegades.

Malcolm Alexander Johnson was born on August 27, 1977. His hometown is Washington, D.C.. He went to Gonzaga College High School in Washington D.C. There, he started his journey in football.
College Football Career
Johnson played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He was on the team from 1995 to 1998. In 1994, he took a "redshirt" year. This means he practiced with the team but did not play in games.
During his time at Notre Dame, he caught many passes.
- In 1996, he caught 25 passes for 449 yards. He also scored two touchdowns.
- In 1997, he had 42 catches for 596 yards. He scored two more touchdowns.
- In 1998, his best year, he caught 43 passes for 692 yards. He scored six touchdowns that season.
Playing in the NFL
Malcolm Johnson was picked by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1999 NFL draft. He was the 166th player chosen overall. He officially joined the Steelers on July 12, 1999.
Time with the Steelers
As a rookie in 1999, he played in six games for the Steelers. He caught two passes for 23 yards. In the 2000 season, he played in four games. He did not catch any passes that year. The Steelers decided to let him go on November 20, 2000.
Moving to the Jets
The New York Jets then picked him up on November 21, 2000. He played in one game for the Jets. He was released by them on December 5. Two days later, he joined their practice squad. Playing in Canada
