Manchester Piccadilly station is a really important railway station in Manchester, England. It's like a big hub where trains come and go, connecting Manchester to many other cities. You can catch trains here to places like London Euston, Birmingham, South Wales, and even Edinburgh and Glasgow in Scotland. It also has routes all over Northern England.
This station is one of the 18 main railway stations looked after by Network Rail in Britain. It's the biggest and busiest of the five train stations in Manchester city centre. The other stations are Manchester Victoria, Salford Central, Deansgate, and Manchester Oxford Road. Manchester Piccadilly is the busiest station in England outside of London for how many passengers use it. It's also the second busiest station in the whole United Kingdom outside London. In 2007, a survey found that 92% of passengers were happy with the station. That's a lot higher than the national average of 60%!
