History of Mapleton
Mapleton started as a town in 1871. This happened when the railroad tracks reached this spot, which helped the town grow.
Geography and Location
Mapleton covers about 1.46 square miles (3.78 square kilometers) of land. Two important roads, Minnesota State Highway 22 and Highway 30, run through Mapleton.
