Mario Vaquerizo Caro (born July 5, 1974, in Madrid, Spain) is a Spanish singer, writer, and TV personality. He became famous from the reality TV show Alaska y Mario on MTV Spain. This show shared his life with his wife, the singer Alaska. They got married in Las Vegas.
Mario is also known for appearing on many Spanish TV and radio shows. Some of these include El Hormiguero and El programa de Ana Rosa. He even voiced Frankenstein in the Spanish version of the animated movie Hotel Transylvania.
Mario Vaquerizo's Career
Mario has worked in media for a long time. He wrote for Spanish newspapers like El País and magazines such as Rolling Stone. In 1999, he started working in advertising for a music company called Subterfuge.
He also worked as a press agent for famous music groups. These included Fangoria and Dover. He helped manage their public image and how they appeared in the news. He also worked with actresses like Elsa Pataki.
Mario is the lead singer of a pop group called Las Nancys Rubias. He uses the stage name Nancy Anoréxica. The band is known for covering other songs. His sister Marta Vaquerizo is also in the group. They have released five albums. Some of their popular songs are "Peluquitas" and "Me da igual."
In 2014, Mario wrote a book called Fabiografía. It tells the life story of Fabio McNamara. Fabio was an important artist in the La Movida Madrileña counterculture scene. This was a big cultural movement in Madrid.
