Marrio Reytwan Norman (born August 10, 1986) is a former American football player. He played as a defensive back, which means he was a player who helps stop the other team from scoring. Marrio Norman played college football at Coastal Carolina University. He also played for many professional teams across different leagues. These include the West Texas Roughnecks, Georgia Force, Orlando Predators, Cleveland Gladiators, Baltimore Ravens, and Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Marrio Norman's Early Life and High School Football

Marrio Norman grew up in Greenwood, South Carolina. He played high school football for the Greenwood High School Eagles. He was a very good player and earned two "letters" in football. This means he was a key player on the team for two years.

Marrio was chosen for the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas. This is a special game for top high school players. He also made the High School Sports Report All-State team twice. This means he was one of the best players in the state. Even with a broken hand during his senior year, he still played well. He made 27 solo tackles, caught one interception, and broke up two passes.

Marrio Norman's College Football Journey

After high school, Marrio Norman went to Coastal Carolina University. He played football for the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers from 2004 to 2008.

In 2007, he was named First Team All-Big South. This means he was one of the best defensive players in his college conference. That year, he made 53 tackles for his team.

Marrio Norman's Professional Football Career

Marrio Norman played for many different professional football teams. He played in various leagues, including the Indoor Football League (IFL), Arena Football League (AFL), National Football League (NFL), Canadian Football League (CFL), and China Arena Football League (CAFL).

Starting in Indoor Football

Marrio began his professional career in 2011. He played for the West Texas Roughnecks in the Indoor Football League. Later that year, he joined the Georgia Force in the Arena Football League.

Time in the Arena League

Marrio spent a lot of his career in the Arena Football League (AFL). He played for the Orlando Predators starting in 2012. In 2013, he moved to the Cleveland Gladiators. He was a star player for the Gladiators. In 2014, he was named First Team All-Arena. This is a big award for the best players in the league.

Trying out the NFL and CFL

In 2014, Marrio got a chance to play in the National Football League (NFL). He signed with the Baltimore Ravens. However, he was released by the Ravens before the season started.

In 2015, he tried playing in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He spent some time on their main team and their practice roster. A practice roster is like a reserve team, where players train with the main team.

Back to Arena Football

After his time in the CFL, Marrio returned to the Cleveland Gladiators in 2015. He played for them again in 2017.

In 2018, he was drafted by the Shanghai Skywalkers in the China Arena Football League (CAFL). Later that year, he joined the Albany Empire in the AFL. His last team was the Washington Valor in the AFL in 2019.
