Marrio Reytwan Norman (born August 10, 1986) is an American former professional football player. He played as a defensive back, which is a player who tries to stop the other team from catching passes. Marrio played in the Arena Football League (AFL) and for several other teams. He was a member of the West Texas Roughnecks, Georgia Force, Orlando Predators, Cleveland Gladiators, Baltimore Ravens, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Shanghai Skywalkers, Albany Empire, and Washington Valor.

Marrio Norman's Early Life

Marrio Norman grew up in Greenwood, South Carolina. He played high school football at Greenwood High School. During his time there, he earned two special awards for his skills. He was chosen for the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas, which is a big game for top high school players. He also received All-State honors for two years in a row.

College Football Journey

Marrio played college football for the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. He was part of their team from 2004 to 2008. In 2007, he was recognized as a First-team All-Big South player. This means he was one of the best players in his college conference. That year, he made 53 tackles, which shows how good he was at stopping opponents.

Professional Football Career

After college, Marrio Norman began his professional football journey. He played for many different teams in various leagues.

Playing in Different Leagues

In 2011, Marrio played for the West Texas Roughnecks in the Indoor Football League. Later that year, he joined the Georgia Force in the Arena Football League (AFL).

He then moved to the Orlando Predators in the AFL in 2012. In 2013, he signed with the Cleveland Gladiators, also in the AFL. He was named First Team All-Arena in 2014, which is a big honor for players in the Arena Football League.

In 2014, Marrio had a chance to play in the National Football League (NFL). He signed with the Baltimore Ravens. After his time with the Ravens, he joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 2015. He moved between their main roster and practice squad before leaving the team.

Marrio returned to the Cleveland Gladiators in 2015 and again in 2017. He was also chosen to play for the Shanghai Skywalkers in the China Arena Football League (CAFL) in 2017.

In 2018, he played for the Albany Empire in the AFL. His last team was the Washington Valor in the AFL in 2019.

Marrio Norman's Family

Marrio Norman comes from a family of athletes. His brothers, Josh, Renaldo, and Orlando, also played sports. Josh played in the NFL, just like Marrio. Renaldo played college basketball for Edward Waters College. Orlando played football for North Carolina A&T State University.
