Mattias Hargin (born October 7, 1985) is a Swedish former alpine ski racer. He competed in the World Cup series. Mattias was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He mostly focused on slalom races. His older sister, Janette Hargin, was also a ski racer for Sweden. Mattias was married to Swedish free-skier Matilda Rapaport. Sadly, she passed away in an avalanche in Chile in July 2016.

Mattias finished fifth in the slalom event at the 2009 World Championships. He also competed for Sweden in the 2010 Winter Olympics. There, he finished 14th in the slalom race.

In January 2011, Mattias made a great comeback in a World Cup slalom race in Zagreb. He was the last skier to qualify for the second run. But he had the fastest time in that second run! This amazing effort earned him his first ever World Cup podium finish, placing third. In December 2013, he was runner-up (second place) in a World Cup slalom race in Val-d'Isère. His only World Cup win happened in January 2015 at Kitzbühel, Austria.

Mattias Hargin announced that he was retiring from alpine skiing on March 12, 2019.
