Early Life and School
Maverick Carter was born on October 10, 1981. He spent most of his childhood in Akron, Ohio and Atlanta, Georgia. His mother, Katherine Powers, was a social worker. His father was Otis Carter.
Friendship with LeBron James
Maverick Carter and LeBron James became friends when they were eight years old. They both loved sports. They played basketball and football together. They attended St. Vincent–St. Mary High School (SVSM) in Akron.
