History of Menan
Menan was started in 1879. It was the first place settled by members of the Latter-day Saints church in the Snake River Valley.

Menan is famous for its big Fourth of July celebration every year. If July 4th is a Sunday, the party happens on July 5th. This fun event includes games, tasty food, a duck race, and activities for everyone. The fireworks show at night is very impressive. Many thousands of people from nearby areas come to Menan for this yearly party.
